Position Overview

We are seeking adaptable and team-oriented Pharmacists to join a growing and dynamic pharmacy team serving the San Carlos Apache community. This role is primarily outpatient-focused, with the expectation to support inpatient and ER operations as needed.

The pharmacy team processes approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily using advanced technology, including robotic dispensing systems. Pharmacists play a key role in patient care, community outreach, and collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Pharmacy services include:

• Outpatient dispensing
• Vaccine clinic
• Warfarin clinic
• Community outreach programs
• Collaboration with schools and public health agencies

Team & Environment

• Pharmacists: 6–7 outpatient pharmacists
• Support Staff:
  • 4 outpatient clerks
  • 4 pharmacy technicians
  • 4 billing team members

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently process prescriptions (including controlled substances)
• Provide timely patient counseling and education
• Maintain current medication knowledge and clinical competency
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, policies, and regulations
• Support both outpatient and inpatient/ER pharmacy operations as needed
• Collaborate with healthcare teams across departments
• Participate in community outreach and clinical initiatives

Schedule

• Pharmacist: Typically 4x10-hour shifts (variable)
• Supervisor: Typically 5x8-hour shifts
• Shift Types: Days, evenings (swing), nights, weekends (as needed)
• Flexibility Required across shifts and pharmacy settings
