Description
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for decontamination, assembly of linen packs, operation of steam, ETO and other forms of sterilization. The Sterile Processing Technician maintains adequate inventory for assembly of instruments and equipment and performs multiple tasks that assist in the daily operation of all units as well as being responsible for customer service.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Certification as required by state regulations or contract specifications
- Certification for sterile processing technicians by the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM) or the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) may be required
- One (1) year of experience in sterile processing preferred
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age

Details of Assignment:
This position receives and reprocesses reusable instruments throughout the hospital, performs cleaning and sterilizing duties. 8 operating rooms Typically 5–6 rooms running daily, with the ability to scale up to 8 rooms OR operates 24/7, though the majority of cases are scheduled during business hours Primary scheduling window: 7:30 AM – 6:30 PM Surgical Services supports a broad range of specialties, including: Robotics - Robotic experience is required - Experience with da Vinci Xi or Da Vinci X is required Orthopedic Surgery General Surgery Robotic colectomies Urology OB/GYN - Hysterectomies - C-sections - Gynecologic surgeries ENT Podiatry Interventional Radiology Pain Management Endoscopy ERCPs (coming soon)
