Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (OR) / Cardiac Surgery

Location: Oregon
Department: Operating Room – Cardiac Surgery

Department Overview

The Operating Room Surgery Department provides specialized cardiac care to surgical and procedural sedation patients. The team cares for a diverse patient population, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Nurses collaborate with multiple provider specialties to support patients undergoing procedures, whether they are discharged the same day or admitted for inpatient care.

Required Qualifications

  • Current, unencumbered Oregon RN License (required upon submission)
  • Healthcare Provider BLS Certification
  • AHA ACLS Certification

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience as a Circulating Nurse in the Operating Room or completion of an approved didactic pre-operative nursing course
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in:
    • ICU
    • PCU
    • Medical-Surgical Acute Care

Preferred Qualifications

  • One (1) year of CVOR/Open Heart experience
  • ICU experience
  • Scrubbing experience
Key Responsibilities Provide perioperative nursing care for cardiac surgery patients Serve as a circulating nurse during surgical procedures Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care Support patients across the continuum of care, from pre-operative preparation through post-procedure recovery
