Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER)

Location: United States
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: ASAP (06/15 start preferred)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of recent Emergency Department experience and previous Charge Nurse experience. This role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and expertise in providing emergency care to patients with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries.

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care in emergency situations.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Initiate IV therapy, draw blood specimens, and assist with emergency procedures.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Serve as a resource and leader within the department when functioning in a charge role.

Requirements

• Active RN State License
• Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department experience
• Previous Charge Nurse experience required
• Current BLS Certification
• Successful completion of required nursing competency assessments
