Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) – Kealakekua, HI

Location: Kealakekua, Hawaii
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights – 12 Hour Shifts
 

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Kealakekua, HI. The RN will provide high-quality patient care while floating between multiple units as needed. This role requires flexibility, strong clinical skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to different patient care environments.
 

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients.
• Float between two Medical-Surgical/Telemetry units based on staffing needs.
• Assist with Medical-Surgical overflow patients in the ICU and Emergency Department (ED) when required.
• Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and monitor patient conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Accurately document patient care and clinical information using the EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, procedures, and patient safety standards.

Requirements

• Active Hawaii RN license.
• Minimum recent experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing.
• Previous float pool experience preferred.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing unit assignments.
