📅 Assignment Details
- Start Date: 06/30/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Nights (3x12) – 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
- Weekend Requirement: Every other (may increase based on unit needs)
- Guaranteed Hours: Facility may cancel 1 shift per 2 weeks
- Float: Yes – may float to Mother/Baby (NICU-focused)

- Acute Care Hospital | 212 Beds
- Level III NICU | 14 Beds
- Charting System: Epic
- Patient Population: Neonates & Infants
- Community: Large Hispanic population | CCS-designated facility
👶 Patient Population & Cases
- Prematurity (24–28 weeks and above)
- Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS)
- Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS)
- Sepsis, hypoglycemia, jaundice
- Feeders & growers
💼 Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a Level III NICU
- Manage patient ratios of 1:2–1:3 based on acuity
- Perform advanced neonatal interventions and monitoring
- Administer medications including vasopressors, antibiotics, and surfactants
- Assist in high-risk deliveries
- Collaborate with respiratory therapists, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
- Educate and support families throughout neonatal care
🛠️ Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience (NICU required)
- Level III NICU experience – REQUIRED (Hard Stop)
- Experience with:
- Ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BiPAP/PEEP)
- CPAP, HFNC, oscillators
- Central lines, PICC lines, UAC/UVC
- Neonatal medication administration & dosage calculations
- Thermoregulation & developmental care
- Sepsis workups and infection control
⭐ Preferred Skills
- Therapeutic hypothermia (cooling blanket)
- Nitric Oxide (iNO)
- Chest tube management
- Blood/blood product administration
- High-risk delivery attendance
📜 Certifications
- BLS (AHA) – Required
- NRP (Advanced preferred) – Must obtain advanced if not held
- PALS – Required
🏥 Work Environment & Equipment
- Smart pumps, feeding pumps, isolettes, warmers
- High-frequency ventilators & oscillators
- No surgical cases performed onsite

- Travel experience required (strong candidates may be considered)
- No block scheduling available
- RTO must be submitted at time of application
