We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment at an inpatient Behavioral Health facility located on the Genesis Healthcare System campus. The RN will provide compassionate, patient-centered care to both adult (primarily) and adolescent behavioral health patients in a fast-paced inpatient setting.

Schedule

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Nights)
• Hours: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Additional 24 hours of on-call coverage required during each 6-week period

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for behavioral health patients
• Monitor patients' physical and mental health status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, therapists, social workers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Promote a safe therapeutic environment for patients and staff
• Participate in crisis intervention and de-escalation when necessary
• Function in a charge nurse role as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN License
• Current BLS Certification
• Experience using Epic EMR
• Experience with Pyxis Medication Management System
• Ability and willingness to work in a charge nurse capacity

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Behavioral Health/Psychiatric Nursing experience
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training

• Duration: 13 Weeks
• Start Date: July 20th (only available start date)
