Description

Med-Surg/Telemetry RN Travel Contract

Weekly Hours:
• 36 hrs/week (3x12s)

Unit Overview:
• 30-bed Med-Surg/Telemetry unit
• Ratios: 1:6–1:7 (must be comfortable with 7 patients)
• Telemetry monitored remotely by Monitor Techs

Required Certifications:
• BLS
• NIHSS

Patient Population:
• CHF
• COPD
• Cellulitis
• Pneumonia
• Urosepsis
• AKI
• Cholecystectomy patients
• Appendectomy patients
• General Medical/Telemetry patients

Skills Required:
• Heparin drip management (based on aPTT results)
• Telemetry monitoring experience
• Strong Med-Surg background

Unit Support:
• Charge RN available (with patient assignment)
• PCT support on unit

Equipment:
• Intermittent BiPAP
• No ventilator patients

Schedule:
• Typically every other weekend
• Holidays as scheduled
• No call or standby requirement

Floating:
• Required based on census
• Travelers float first

Dress Code:
• Navy Blue Scrubs
