Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER) | Level 3

Location: Claremore Indian Hospital, Claremore, OK
Contract Length: 06/22/2026 – 09/01/2026
Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts, 7:30 PM – 8:00 AM)
Schedule: 3 shifts per week (36 hours)
Employment Type: Contract/Travel Assignment
Pay Rate: $2520 per week.
 

Position Overview:
 

Claremore Indian Hospital is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality emergency care to patients of all ages. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and experience managing critical and emergent patient conditions.
 

Responsibilities

• Assess, prioritize, and provide care for patients presenting with emergency medical conditions and trauma.
• Recognize and respond to critical situations, initiating emergency interventions when necessary.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and other prescribed treatments.
• Operate and monitor specialized emergency care equipment, including:
  • Ventilators
  • Cardiac monitors
  • Infusion pumps
  • Pulse oximeters
  • Respiratory support devices
• Manage patients requiring:
  • Mechanical ventilation
  • CPAP/BiPAP
  • Vapotherm therapy
  • Critical care drips and medications
• Provide care for adult and pediatric emergency patients.
• Assist in the management of stroke patients and other acute medical emergencies.
• Document assessments, interventions, treatments, and patient responses accurately.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Maintain unit readiness, equipment, and supplies while promoting a safe patient environment.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required
• 5+ years preferred

Licensure

• Active Oklahoma RN License OR
• Active Compact/Multi-State RN License

Certifications (Required)

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)
• TNCC
• NIHSS - 8 Stroke CEUs Certifications required.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience caring for both adult and pediatric patients.
• Strong knowledge of emergency and critical care nursing.
• Experience managing ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and Vapotherm systems.
• Experience with critical drips and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a high-acuity environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb stairs throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Compliance Requirements

• COVID-19 vaccination is required for all contractors working with Cherokee Nation. Candidates who are not vaccinated must be willing to obtain the vaccine prior to assignment.
