Schedule Notes

• Block schedule only considered if HCP wants Thursday–Sunday weekend block
• Schedule posted 4 weeks at a time
• Block scheduling is not available
• Orientation can start any day of the week
  • Begins with HR and HealthStream modules
  • Shadowing typically 2 days with another staff member

Facility Overview

• 43-bed licensed LTC and Skilled Facility
• No memory care or assisted living unit
• 3 hallways with private and semi-private rooms
• Average census: 25–27 residents
• Day staffing: 1 RN, 1 Med Aide, 2 CNAs, 1 Bath Aide, 1 Restorative CNA
• Night staffing: 1 RN, 1 CNA (sometimes additional CNA 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM)
• Charting: Point Click Care
• Communication: Pagers
• Lifts: Sit-to-Stand and Hoyer
• Medication: Carts with bubble pack distribution
• IV fluids: Administered at hospital, not LTC
• Occasional blood draws by RN, but rare

Candidate Requirements

• Licensed RN in Nebraska or Compact State
• Active BLS through American Heart Association
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Long-Term Care
• Will not float between hospital and LTC
• LPNs may be considered if IV certified

Submittal Requirements

• Resume: Full name, no nicknames; includes facility names, city/state, title, department, dates of employment (last 7 years)
• Skills Checklist: Completed within 1 year for specialty
• 2 Professional References: From last 3 years; one must be supervisor; includes skills and rating
• Online license verification: Within 30 days of submission via Nursys

• State ID / Driver’s License: Current, photo ID required

   

Department Notes

• Professional scrub top/bottom required (any color, no logos)
• No crocs; fingernails appropriate length; piercings professional; tattoos/vibrant hair permitted
• Badge provided by agency; must be worn at chest level

Miscellaneous

• Reliable transportation required (Red Cloud is rural; no public transport)
• Will consider RN or LPN (if IV certified)
