FULL-TIME PERMANENT (DIRECT HIRE) STERILE PROCESSING TECH POSITION:

We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician for a full-time permanent (direct hire) position in a busy hospital-based Sterile Processing Department in Chesterfield, MO. This is a hospital staff role, not a travel or contract assignment, offering stable hours, shift differential pay, and long-term employment with full benefits.

Schedule:
Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (Second Shift)
Days: Monday–Friday
Weekend Requirement: Approximately one weekend per month

Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $19.00 – $23.00 per hour based on experience
Shift Differential: Additional $2.25 per hour for second shift

Job Responsibilities:
Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and trays
Prepare case carts and surgical instrument sets for operating room procedures
Operate sterilization equipment and follow infection prevention protocols
Maintain accurate documentation related to instrument processing and sterilization
Ensure all instruments meet hospital and regulatory standards for patient safety
Support operating room and clinical teams with timely instrument availability
Assist with endoscopy reprocessing when needed, if trained

Requirements:
Previous Sterile Processing Department experience required
Ability to work second shift and maintain a consistent weekday schedule
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized processes
Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced hospital environment

Preferred Qualifications:
CRCST certification preferred but not required
Endoscopy reprocessing experience preferred
Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and sterile processing workflows
