Location: Golden, CO - 80401
Schedule: Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Hours/Week
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks with possible extension

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Step Down/Intermediate Care Unit. The unit is a 32-bed progressive care environment that manages higher-acuity patients, including those requiring continuous monitoring and specialized treatments. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, performing assessments, implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Monitor and manage patients with acute and complex medical conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing standards.
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and document findings accurately.
• Provide health education and counseling to patients and families.
• Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate care.
• Execute delegated medical functions within scope of practice.
• Refer patients for additional evaluation or treatment as needed.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
• Float to other units within competency as required by staffing needs.
• Participate in on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

Required

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ASN required).
• Active RN License (Single State or Compact License).
• Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience.

• AHA - BLS, ACLS
