*Endocrine/Metabolic Skills REQUIRED: IV insulin protocols & Titration of Insulin drips
*Gastrointestinal Skills REQUIRED: Feeding tube care and management
*Genitourinary/Renal Skills REQUIRED: Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI) & Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management
*IV therapy/Phlebotomy Skills REQUIRED: Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management & Starting and maintaining IVs
*Medications Skills REQUIRED: Heparin Protocols, PCA, Thrombolytic Agents, Titrate Cardiac drips & Titrate Vasoactive drips
*Neurological/Psychiatric Skills REQUIRED: Aneurysms and repair, Craniotomy, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Intracranial bleeds, Lumbar drains, Post TPA care, Pre/Post neurosurgery, Seizure disorders, Spinal cord injury, Substance Withdrawal & Traumatic Brain injury
*Plastics Skills REQUIRED: Surgical Drains
*Respiratory Skills REQUIRED: BiPAP/CPAP management/maintenance, Care of Ventilated Patient, Chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oxygen administration, Oxygen tanks & Tracheostomy care/management
*Professional Topics and Skills REQUIRED: Isolation Precautions/PPE & Wound Care/Wound Vac

-Additional Skills: Triage, ICP, Conscious Sedation, and Charge Nurse Experience.
Certs: CCRN, TNCC, and CPI.

JOB DETAILS:
-RATIOS: 1:4. Avg. Daily Census: Unit will max at 24 patients; Rooms/Beds: 24
* "Normal population"= Intermediate population that is sub-specialized with neurological population along with medical intermediate patients.
-SHIFT: 36 and 48s can be offered
-Unit Will Accept 13 - 26 Weeks!
-12-HOUR NIGHTS; 18:45 - 07:15
-Call Requirement: NONE
-Float Requirement: Other intermediate areas like 6a or 5A PCTU or 5C Cardiac Intermediate along with critical care (ICU/Stepdown patients)
-Weekend Requirement: travelers will be required to work a minimum of 3 weekend shifts every six weeks

PATIENT DIAGNOSES: Intermediate population that is sub specialized with neurological population along with medical intermediate patients.

SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: This patient population will be geared towards the neurological patients along with the medical intermediate patient population.

SCHEDULING TYPE: Per Unit Needs

UNIT ORIENTATION: 32 Hours; 8-hour computer class plus two shifts on the unit of orientation after initial Hospital Orientation.
