Description
Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer
.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-risk obstetrical ultrasound examinations, including detailed Level II fetal anatomy scans.
- Assist physicians with invasive prenatal procedures, including amniocentesis.
- Accurately document findings using EPIC and ViewPoint systems.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment while ensuring image quality and patient safety.
- Clean and disinfect ultrasound probes and equipment using Trophon systems.
- Collaborate with Maternal Fetal Medicine physicians regarding scan findings and patient care plans.
- Follow department-specific imaging protocols and quality standards.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and provide compassionate patient care.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Maternal Fetal Medicine ultrasound experience required.
- Current BLS certification.
- ARDMS or ARRT certification required.
- Strong knowledge of fetal anatomy, high-risk pregnancy imaging, and obstetrical ultrasound procedures.
- Experience with EPIC and ViewPoint preferred.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- Approximately 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- No routine call requirements
- Weekend coverage not typically required

- 8 dedicated ultrasound rooms
- Equipment includes GE Voluson and GE Expert 22 ultrasound systems
- EPIC and ViewPoint utilized for documentation and imaging workflow
- Occasional floating within Women's Health/OB services as needed
