Respiratory Therapist – Illinois Opportunities (Multiple Locations)

A leading acute care healthcare organization in Illinois is hiring Respiratory Therapists for multiple full-time night shift opportunities across hospital settings. Position Overview

• Permanent, full-time roles (36 hours/week)
• 12-hour night shifts
• Opportunities available across multiple hospital locations
• Provide respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Deliver both basic and advanced respiratory therapy services
• Work in collaborative, patient-centered acute care environments

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate respiratory care plans
• Administer respiratory treatments and therapies
• Provide ventilator management and airway support
• Monitor patient response and adjust treatments as needed
• Document care accurately using EMR systems (EPIC preferred)
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintain equipment readiness and ensure a safe clinical environment
• Exercise independent clinical judgment within scope of practice

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• RRT or CRT credential required
• Active Illinois license (or in process)
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1–2 years of acute care experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred

Schedule & Compensation

• Night shift (12-hour shifts)
• 36 hours/week (72 hours bi-weekly)
• Weekend rotation required

Compensation:

• $31–$37/hour (based on experience)
• Sign-on bonuses available: $15,000 – $25,000 depending on role and commitment

Shift Differentials:

• Nights: up to $4.00/hour
• Weekends: up to $3.25/hour

Relocation Assistance Available

• Offered for candidates relocating beyond local commuting distance
