Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) – Travel Assignment

Location: San Diego / La Mesa, California
Shift: 8-Hour Evenings
Schedule: 40 Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required

This position offers the opportunity to perform complex laboratory testing while supporting high-quality patient care.

Requirements:

• Active California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) Generalist License
• Minimum 3 years of recent Clinical Laboratory Scientist experience
• Bachelor's Degree
• Strong experience in analytical testing, specimen processing, quality assurance, and laboratory operations
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• ASCP Certification
• Previous acute care hospital laboratory experience

Responsibilities:

• Perform complex laboratory testing using established procedures and protocols
• Conduct specimen collection, processing, and analytical testing
• Review and verify laboratory results for accuracy
• Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and analyzers
• Perform quality control, calibration, validation, and proficiency testing
• Participate in policy and procedure development and revisions
• Assist with employee training and competency assessments
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and safety standards
• Support continuous quality improvement initiatives
