X-Ray Tech (Radiologic Technologist) - Travel/Contract
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (Saturday, Sunday, Monday)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Job Summary
Seeking a Radiologic Technologist specializing in Operating Room (OR) procedures with proficiency in C-arm and O-arm coverage. The role involves performing X-ray procedures during surgical interventions in diverse healthcare settings including outpatient, inpatient, Level I Trauma centers, and teaching hospitals.
Responsibilities
- Provide C-arm and O-arm imaging coverage in the Operating Room environment.
- Perform X-ray procedures for surgical interventions.
- Collaborate with surgical and medical teams to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain equipment functionality and adhere to safety protocols.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in Ohio.
- Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year.
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience as an X-Ray Technician.

Required Certifications & Compliance
- BLS (AHA Instructor/Provider or RQI accepted; letter of completion not accepted).
- Background checks including a 7-year criminal background check with FBI and BCI fingerprinting (Ohio-specific requirements apply).
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (includes amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cannabinoids, cocaine, methadone, methaqualone, opiates, PCP, propoxyphene).
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease.
- Immunizations and health documents:
- Tdap vaccine (adult dose after age 11/12).
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) - 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters if needed.
- Varicella - 2 vaccines or positive titer unless medically exempted.
- Hepatitis B titer or 3-vaccine series (declination acceptable).
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31).
- Fit mask testing annually for inpatient/patient-facing roles (valid for entire assignment).
- Orientation Safety Manual acknowledgment annually.
Additional Requirements
- 2 professional references required; at least one must be from a manager or formal leadership.
- Employment application and skills checklist required.
- Competency exams and unit-specific training may be required.
- Adherence to dress code and hand hygiene policies.
- Completion of Fraud, Waste, and Abuse training certificate prior to start and annually thereafter.
- Pending background check attestation required if fingerprint results are pending at start.
