- Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate of Science in Nursing
Description
- Unit Notes:6 labor rooms & 3 post partum rooms, as well as a Triage room & 1 OR for C-sections.
- BLS, NRP, & FHM - A1 Intermediate are required. Stable -preferred
1:1 in L&D; 1:3 (max) in PP - Paragon (McKesson)
- Charge nurse 24/7 & takes a full assignment
- CNA 1 per shift. Typically on days staffed with 3-4 RNs & 1 tech.
- Every 3rd weekend.
- Call is required, consisting of 6 hours of call per pay periodWork into rotation with perm staff (Required to work 1 major holiday per season)

- If on Tele would be monitored in the ICU at the central monitor station

Yes - Not 24/7. They have a pharmacist on call after 7pm. They also have a remote pharmacy & Pyxis
- 7a - 7p; 7p - 7a (NOTE: if nurse was working a rotating schedule they would not be expected to rotate during the same week) Night shift will be block schedules.
- MedSurg PCU or LTC (everyone is rotated) to task only. L&D will call floats back if the needs of the unit demand this.
- 6 shifts/2 weeks w/ preceptor
- LDRP patients. Very rare may get a general overflow patient.
- C-Sections are done in the L&D OR suite
- 1 year of experience - would take a 1st time traveler.
- Cancellation Policy:6 hours every 2 weeks. Will be put on call if this occurs. To get paid for the remaining 6 hours, traveler must report to work to float, task or do non-clinical work as needed.
