Description

Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery

Location: New York, NY 10037
Contract Length: 14 Weeks (07/06/2026 – 10/10/2026)
Schedule: 36 Hours per Week | 3 Days per Week | 11.5 Hours per Day
Employment Type: Travel/Contract RN

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to labor and delivery patients.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
Monitor maternal and fetal well-being during labor and delivery.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy procedures.
Assist with conscious sedation procedures when required.
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and postpartum care.

Required Experience

Minimum 2 years of Maternal & Child Nursing experience.
Minimum 2 years of IV Insertion experience.
Minimum 2 years of Phlebotomy experience.
Minimum 2 years of Conscious Sedation experience.

Education Requirements

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) from an accredited nursing program.

Required Certifications & Licensure

Active New York State RN License.
Primary Source Verification through the New York State Department of Education (NYSED).
AHA BLS Certification.
AHA ACLS Certification.
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.
