Description

Travel CVOR Registered Nurse (RN)

📍 Detroit, MI
⏳ 13-Week Contract
 

Schedule Options

Choose the schedule that works best for you:

  • Five 8-hour shifts
  • Four 10-hour shifts
  • Three 12-hour shifts

Shift start time: 6:00 AM

Examples:

  • 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM

Call Requirements

  • 48 hours of call every 6-week schedule period
  • Must be available for one weekend of call per month

Responsibilities

  • Provide perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular surgical patients
  • Circulate and assist during complex cardiac procedures
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff
  • Monitor patient safety and maintain sterile technique
  • Perform patient assessments and documentation
  • Deliver patient and family education throughout the surgical process

Requirements

✅ Active Michigan RN License
✅ BLS Certification
✅ Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
✅ Recent Operating Room Experience Required
✅ Cardiac Scrub Experience Required
✅ Strong clinical assessment and communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSN
  • Previous CVOR travel experience
  • Experience with open-heart and cardiovascular surgical procedures
