Description
Travel CVOR Registered Nurse (RN)
📍 Detroit, MI
⏳ 13-Week Contract
Schedule Options
Choose the schedule that works best for you:
- Five 8-hour shifts
- Four 10-hour shifts
- Three 12-hour shifts
Shift start time: 6:00 AM
Examples:
- 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Call Requirements
- 48 hours of call every 6-week schedule period
- Must be available for one weekend of call per month
Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular surgical patients
- Circulate and assist during complex cardiac procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff
- Monitor patient safety and maintain sterile technique
- Perform patient assessments and documentation
- Deliver patient and family education throughout the surgical process
Requirements
✅ Active Michigan RN License
✅ BLS Certification
✅ Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
✅ Recent Operating Room Experience Required
✅ Cardiac Scrub Experience Required
✅ Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN
- Previous CVOR travel experience
- Experience with open-heart and cardiovascular surgical procedures
