Job Summary:
 

Akron Campus is seeking experienced PCU/Telemetry Registered Nurses for a 32-bed Cardiac Progressive Care Unit specializing in Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) management. This fast-paced unit requires strong cardiac assessment skills, telemetry interpretation, and experience managing high-acuity cardiac patients.
 

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to PCU and telemetry patients.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and EKG changes.
• Administer and monitor heparin drips and other cardiac medications.
• Administer blood products safely and according to protocol.
• Perform IV insertion, maintenance, and blood draws.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR.

Requirements:

• Active RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/Telemetry experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Recent Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months (must be listed on resume)
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Strong telemetry interpretation skills
• Experience with heparin drips and blood administration
• Must be proficient in IV starts and phlebotomy
• Float flexibility required

• Patient Ratio: 1:4 (Days) | 1:5 (Nights)

• Local and Traveler candidates accepted
• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed and must be submitted upfront
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• No block scheduling requests accepted
• Solid black scrubs required
