About Facility:
o Lexington, NC 27292
o 96 licensed beds
o Trauma Designation- No
o Teaching Hospital- Teaching system, but we do not have residents at LMC
o Chest Pain Center- No
o Stroke Center- Yes, primary

Department Information:
o # of MRI rooms: 1
o Average # of patient seen daily: Weekdays (Mon-Fri) 15-17 patients; Saturdays and Sundays 10-12 patients
o Minimum Years of Experience required- 1 year is sufficient but it would need to include inpatient experience
o Will you accept a first-time traveler- It would depend on the level of experience.

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
o Inpatient, Outpatient, ED. I would describe our volume as primarily outpatient with a few ED and inpatients scattered throughout the day. We do a significant volume of Brain studies, as well as orthopaedic and spine studies.

Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:
o BLS, ARRT- MR
▪ ARMRIT not accepted

Skills required:
o Experience with ED, Inpatients, and Outpatients
o IV skills required
▪ Note: the department currently does not scan patients with pacemakers
o EPIC experience required

Support within the Department:
o Supervisor
o Lead Tech
o Scheduler – yes
o Transport during the day (0730-1800): Yes, and dedicated tech extender on weekends
o Radiologist on site, 24/7- No; we have a mix of onsite as well as virtual. When our radiologist is not onsite, ED physicians manage contrast reaction

Technology/Equipment:
o EMR: EPIC – experience required
o Department specific Equipment: Siemens Aera 1.5T with Deep Resolve software

Floating:
o None

Orientation (facility and unit):
o Orientation period will be dependent on comfort level – typically 1 week
