🏥 OR RN Job Breakdown (Swedish)

Shift: 5x8 Days (07:00–15:30)
Weekly Hours: 40 hrs
Unit: Operating Room
Call: Weekend/on-call support as needed
Floating: May float to other Swedish campuses

🩺 Core Responsibilities

• Circulating in Surgical Cases: ~20 hrs/week
  Ortho, General Surgery, Urology, GYN, Spine, ENT, Plastics, Vascular, Robotics, and Trauma procedures.
• Orthopedic & Robotics Cases: ~8–10 hrs/week
  Total joints, sports medicine, neuro/spine, and robotic-assisted surgeries.
• Scrub & Specialty Support: ~5–6 hrs/week
  Assisting in trauma, vascular, ENT, and specialty procedures (scrub experience preferred).
• Perioperative Patient Care: ~4–5 hrs/week
  Procedure sedation, blood product administration, drains, wound vacs, epidural pumps, PICC/Central Line and Port-a-Cath management.
• Documentation & Team Coordination: ~3–4 hrs/week
  Surgical charting, patient safety checks, case preparation, and interdisciplinary communication.

📌 Key Requirements

• 2+ years OR experience
• BLS required
• ACLS preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• Orthopedic/Sports Medicine experience required
• Robotics experience required
• ENT with endoscope experience strongly preferred
• Scrub experience preferred
• Active Compact License accepted
• Previous Swedish permanent employees are not eligible

• 70% Outpatient
• 30% Inpatient
• ~10% Pediatrics
