The Cardiac Sonographer is available for 24-hour call within a 30-minute response time required.-Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide quality care appropriately to the age of the patient included neonate to geriatric patient populations.-Demonstrates flexibility in learning all equipment, imaging specialties, and echocardiography procedures.-Must understand sterile procedures and isolation precaution techniques and must exercise proper precautions to avoid protentional exposures to radiation, infectious hazards, and sharp instruments.-Is accountable to demonstrate proficiency for the skills outlined in the appropriate competencies list.-Must be able to tolerate frequent walking, standing, pushing, and pulling.-Must be able to reach above shoulder level and endure occasional twisting and turning.-Must be able to communicate well verbally and in writing.-Must be able to hear at ordinary conversation level and possess good visual acuity. Adult TTE, Inpatient and outpatient, Emergency, comprehensive understanding of cardiac hemodynamics, PISA quantification, strain, simple pediatric indications (murmur, bicuspid AV, etc., 5 years old and older). Experience in Definity, Optison and bubble studies (agitated saline). Schedule Notes:Mon-Fri 7:30AM-4 PM, No weekends or call13 week assignmentSkills: Required Skills & Experience:-Proven ability to work with co-workers, physicians, and all levels of healthcare professionals.-Must have knowledge of cardiac pathophysiology, diagnostic procedures, and patient care procedures.Preferred Skills & Experience:-One (1) year of cardiac experience is preferred and be registry eligible.-Minimum of one (1) year experience in adult and pediatric cardiac sonography including experience with transesophageal and stress echo. -Experience with outreach services helpful. Proficient in scanning cardiac abnormalities, quick learning, adaptable, correctly document findings, ability to scan a full echo and report in 60 minutes. Proficient in GE and Phillips machines.  EPIC experience preferred Required Skills: [ "Sonography", "CARDIAC"]Education: Required Education:--One of the following is required:-Associates degree.-Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited sonography program.Preferred Education:-N/ARequired Certifications & Licensure:-ARDMS-Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS).OR-CCI-Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).-BLSPreferred Certifications & Licensure:-N/A Required by Manager: Associates degree or Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited sonography program. BLSRDCS or RCSJ
