🏥 LTACH / ICU-Med Surg RN Job Breakdown

Shift: Night 3x12s (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Weekly Hours: 36 hrs/week
Charting: EPIC (Minimum 1 year experience required)
Medication System: Omnicell

🩺 Core Responsibilities

• Direct Patient Care: ~18–20 hrs/week
  Care for high-acuity adult patients requiring long-term hospitalization and specialized nursing interventions.
• Ventilator & Trach Management: ~6–8 hrs/week
  Care for ventilator-dependent patients, tracheostomies, PEG tubes, and respiratory support needs.
• Wound Care & Complex Medical Management: ~4–5 hrs/week
  Management of complex wounds, spinal cord injury patients, and chronic medical conditions.
• Monitoring & Emergency Response: ~3–4 hrs/week
  Continuous patient assessment, ACLS interventions, and critical care support.
• Documentation & Care Coordination: ~3–4 hrs/week
  EPIC charting, medication administration, interdisciplinary communication, and discharge planning.

📌 Key Requirements

• SC RN License
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• Minimum 1 year EPIC experience
• First-time travelers considered based on specialty experience

🏥 Unit Highlights

• 12-Bed ICU
• 31-Bed Med-Surg Unit
• Staff work between both ICU and Med-Surg areas
• Adult patient population (18+)
• Omnicell medication dispensing system

• Long-Term Acute Care Patients

📅 Scheduling & Floating

• Every other weekend required (may vary based on unit needs)
• Floating required based on census and staffing
• May float to other qualified Prisma Health units or campuses
• Will only be assigned patients and tasks within demonstrated competencies
