Job Type: 13-week contract, Temp-to-Perm (opportunity to extend or convert to permanent employment based on business needs)

Department: Medical ICU (7A4115)

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts; weekend and holiday availability required

Position Summary:
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and family education. Effectively communicates pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team. Participates in identifying solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of corrective actions.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of previous ICU experience
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the assigned unit
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services
• Strong communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare personnel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Previous experience in a Level II Trauma facility
