ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job – Dayton, Ohio

Job Overview

Position: ICU Registered Nurse (Neuro ICU / Stroke Center focus)
Location: Dayton, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night shift, 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Work in a fast-paced Neuro ICU treating neurological diseases and disorders such as seizures and strokes.
Experience in a comprehensive stroke center or Neuro ICU required.
May float to other ICU units including Medical Surgical ICU and Heart and Vascular ICU.
Floating assignments may include multiple nearby campuses within 15 miles.
Must be available to work every other weekend and holidays.
EPIC electronic medical record system experience required.
Must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips.

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid RN license in Ohio
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
Stroke experience
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS)
Experience with Epic electronic medical record system
