Position: Nurse Practitioner (Pain Management) - telehealth
Location: Detroit, MI 48213
Job type: Part-time, Contract
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Pay Rate: $46/Hour
Schedule & Hours:
- Timings: Tuesdays, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
- No. of Days Per Week: 1 Day
- Guaranteed Hours: 7
Job Description:
Seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner with at least 1 year of pain management experience to provide telehealth-based care for new and established patients. The provider will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications (including controlled substances within scope), monitor progress, and maintain compliant clinical documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct telehealth evaluations and follow-up visits
- Assess and manage acute and chronic pain conditions
- Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe medications, including controlled substances, in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Review patient pain assessments and questionnaires
- Complete accurate SOAP notes and clinical documentation
- Ensure patient consent forms are completed and maintained
- Monitor treatment effectiveness and patient outcomes
- Maintain compliance with clinical, legal, and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Active Michigan NP license
- Minimum 1 year of pain management experience required
- Michigan DEA License required
- Telehealth experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
- Knowledge of pain management protocols and controlled substance prescribing regulations
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work independently
- Malpractice insurance required
