Position: Nurse Practitioner (Pain Management) - telehealth
Location: Detroit, MI 48213

Job type: Part-time, Contract
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Pay Rate: $46/Hour

Schedule & Hours:

  • Timings: Tuesdays, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • No. of Days Per Week: 1 Day
  • Guaranteed Hours: 7

Job Description:

Seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner with at least 1 year of pain management experience to provide telehealth-based care for new and established patients. The provider will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications (including controlled substances within scope), monitor progress, and maintain compliant clinical documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct telehealth evaluations and follow-up visits
  • Assess and manage acute and chronic pain conditions
  • Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications, including controlled substances, in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • Review patient pain assessments and questionnaires
  • Complete accurate SOAP notes and clinical documentation
  • Ensure patient consent forms are completed and maintained
  • Monitor treatment effectiveness and patient outcomes
  • Maintain compliance with clinical, legal, and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • Active Michigan NP license
  • Minimum 1 year of pain management experience required
  • Michigan DEA License required
  • Telehealth experience preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
  • Knowledge of pain management protocols and controlled substance prescribing regulations
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Malpractice insurance required
