Description
Requirements:
Current RN licensure with 3-5 years of nursing experience, ideally in a rural hospital setting. Required certifications: BLS and PALS. Strong assessment and critical thinking skills; experience with telemetry monitoring is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver compassionate nursing care to patients with various medical conditions, including respiratory issues (COPD, pneumonia), cellulitis, and congestive heart failure (CHF), as well as surgical cases such as colon resections and orthopedic procedures (total hips and knees). Monitor patients using Nihon Kohden telemetry; RNs are responsible for interpreting their own strips. Collaborate with a small team, including a clinical care coordinator and a charge nurse who actively takes patient assignments, while a house supervisor supports the team on weekends. Assist in outpatient infusions as needed, although experience is preferred for travelers.
