Facility: Sutter Health Center for Psychiatry
Shift: Mid Shift – 5x8s (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 07/06/2026
Weekly Schedule: 40 Hours Guaranteed
Setting: Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital
Job Summary
Sutter Health Center for Psychiatry is seeking an experienced LVN/LPN with behavioral health experience for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have recent inpatient psychiatric experience and be comfortable working with adolescent and adult behavioral health populations in a locked psychiatric unit.

- Bipolar Disorder
- Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Eating Disorders
- PTSD
- Anxiety Disorders
- Depression/Major Depressive Disorder
- Psychotic Disorders
- Oppositional Defiant Disorder
- Substance Abuse Disorders
- Alcohol & Opiate Withdrawal
- Geriatric Behavioral Health Patients
Responsibilities
- Medication administration including oral and subcutaneous medications
- Behavioral health assessments and monitoring
- De-escalation and crisis intervention
- Physical restraint and seclusion procedures
- Patient education and psychoeducation
- Vital signs monitoring and documentation
- Medication reconciliation
- Communication of patient status changes to RN/Provider
- Support voluntary and involuntary psychiatric admissions
- Use electronic patient rounding systems and Rover technology
Required Qualifications
- Active California LVN License
- BLS Certification
- CPI, ProAct, PMAB, MOAB, or Handle With Care Certification
- Minimum 2 Years of LVN Experience
- Recent Inpatient Psychiatric Experience Preferred
- Community Hospital Experience Required
