Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to join a busy surgical team serving adult, geriatric, and limited pediatric orthopedic patients. This position primarily supports the St. Patrick Campus with occasional floating to a nearby affiliated surgical facility as needed.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced OR environment and have experience caring for a wide variety of surgical specialties.

Requirements

• Active RN License (State License or Compact License)
• BLS Certification
• Previous Operating Room experience required
• Ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary surgical environment

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care throughout the surgical process.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Monitor patient responses and ensure a safe surgical environment.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical team members.
• Document patient care accurately and timely.

Scheduling & Call Requirements

• Monday–Friday schedule
• Mid Shift: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• On-call required:
  • 1–2 weekdays per week
  • Every 3rd weekend (Friday–Sunday)
• Occasional floating between St. Patrick and Lake Area campuses
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:1

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN preferred
• At least 1 year of recent OR nursing experience
• Experience across multiple surgical specialties preferred
