Description

Position: Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Float Pool
Location: Grand Junction, CO 81501

Shift: 3x12s, 36 hours/week (Night Shift with flexibility to switch to days)
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Start date: 07/06/2026

Travel Pay Rate:
$2506 weekly ($35/hr w2 + $1246/week stipend)

Local Pay Rate:
$60/Hr - $62/Hr on w2

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Med/Surg Float Pool team in Grand Junction, Colorado. This position provides nursing care across multiple inpatient units, including Medical Surgical, Surgical, Medical Oncology, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Cardiac, and Neuro Trauma Spine. The ideal candidate is adaptable, clinically strong, and comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Duties

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Provide direct nursing care and administer treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to the healthcare team.
  • Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility standards.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
  • Float to various inpatient units based on patient census and staffing needs.
  • Follow all facility, regulatory, and patient safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • Active compact or CO state RN license
  • BLS, ACLS certification (AHA)
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • At least 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience in an acute care setting
  • Ability to float to Medical Surgical, Surgical, Medical Oncology, Inpatient Rehab, Cardiac, and Neuro Trauma Spine units
  • Ability to work night shifts and adjust to day shifts if needed
