Description
Sonographer (Echo, Vascular) - Temp Position
Location: Lawton, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 10
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Explain procedures, prepare patients, and ensure patient comfort during ultrasound scans.
- Operate ultrasound machines to capture images of the heart’s chambers, valves, and blood vessels.
- Perform routine transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) and complex tests such as stress or transesophageal (TEE) echocardiograms.
- Take precise measurements, analyze data, and prepare preliminary reports for physicians.
- Clean, maintain, and adjust ultrasound equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of sonographer experience specifically in echo and vascular imaging.
- Valid sonographer license/certification appropriate for this specialty (implied by job discipline).
Additional Information
- Orientation for allied health travelers starts on Tuesdays.
- On-call pay applies with a minimum of 1 hour paid at a fixed rate.
- Local candidates within 50 miles may be considered with adjusted travel rate.
- No increased pay rate for overtime, holidays, or call-back hours.
- Non-compete policy: Former direct employees of the facility are ineligible for agency placement until 6 months after direct employment ends.
This position involves working in a regional referral center providing comprehensive healthcare services.
