- Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM), Monday to Friday
- Float: Required as needed
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week
Job Description
- Work in a 9-room lab with 2 active Electrophysiology (EP) labs performing ablations, implants, and left atrial appendage (LAA) procedures.
- Participate in a multidisciplinary team focused on excellent patient outcomes.
- Experience with arrhythmia induction, cardioversion, insertion/programming of AICDs, left atrial appendage, pacemaker insertion, and tilt table studies is required.
- Cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, and conduction studies experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Electrophysiology Technician, including experience within the last year.
- Licenses/Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (Radiology Technologist)
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist)
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
- Social Security Card (required for badge issuance).
- Background check within 60 days covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in the past 7 years, including aliases, criminal, sex offender, federal court, and education verification.
- Foreign equivalency evaluation if education was obtained outside the U.S.
- Education verification and transcript/diploma as applicable.
- Fingerprinting (NC SBI) required only for Home Health and Long-Term Care positions (not applicable here).
- Employment application/resume with 7-year work history.
- Verification of employment history for the last 5 years.
- Two supervisory references required from clinical assignments within the last 24 months.
- Annual skills checklist with a one-week grace period for renewal.
- Facility-specific documents including health history form, photo for badge (strict photo requirements), floating policy, contractor equipment acknowledgment, and dress code acknowledgment.
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgment.
- Acknowledgment of pass/fail testing policies.
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam (if applicable).
- Fit mask test (annual, specific approved N95 respirators).
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 40 days of start.
- Immunizations/vaccinations required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (adult vaccine proof required).
- TB test (Qgold/TSPOT within 6 months) or chest X-ray if positive history.
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines at least 28 days apart.
- Hepatitis B: Titer or declination with booster series if non-reactive.
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines at least 28 days apart.
- Seasonal flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season.
- TB questionnaire within 30 days of start and updated annually.
Testing & Competency Exams
- Pass/fail Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for all RNs except Behavioral Health or Case Managers.
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable.
- EPIC test required for allied health and RNs starting 9/19/23 (2 attempts allowed, 3rd attempt requires manager approval).
- Other competency exams as applicable by specialty.
Additional Notes
- Candidates must be aware of the job description and submission to the client.
- Compliance deadlines are strict; all documentation must be completed by 12 Noon EST the Wednesday prior to the start date.
- Candidate must be flexible with scheduling and understand the zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences.
- Badge photo must meet strict facility requirements (no selfies, no hats, solid color background, business casual or uniform attire).
- Floating policy applies to all agency staff regardless of unit or facility.
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position.
