Job Title: MRI Lead Technologist / MRI Coordinator
Employment Type: Full-Time (F/T)
Compensation
- Pay Range: $32.67 – $46.13/hour (DOE)
- Schedule: 80 hours per pay period
- Sign-On Bonus: $5,000.00
- Retention Bonus: $10,000.00 after 2 years of employment and satisfactory performance
Position Summary
The MRI Lead Technologist partners with the Imaging Director to support departmental operations, staff development, process improvement initiatives, and MRI-related events. The role also collaborates with the contracted research organization (AMR) to support research activities and ensure compliance with established protocols.
Working under the supervision of the Imaging Department Medical Director, the Lead MRI Technologist is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining a strong commitment to patient safety, comfort, and overall experience.
Reports To: Imaging Director
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily MRI department operations.
- Assist with staff meetings, training programs, and onboarding initiatives.
- Lead process improvement and quality assurance activities.
- Coordinate MRI-related events and departmental projects.
- Collaborate with AMR (contracted research organization) on research studies and compliance requirements.
- Ensure adherence to MRI safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Deliver exceptional patient care and customer service.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and departmental files.
Required Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Additional healthcare-related training or education.
- Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology or equivalent program.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of MRI experience.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Lead MRI Technologist or supervisory role.
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of medical procedures and terminology.
- Strong interpersonal and human relations skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to maintain records and departmental files.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Licensure & Certifications (Required)
- Current ARRT Registered Technologist (Radiography).
- Current Radiologic Technologist License through the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.
- Current CPR/BLS Certification.
- Additional ARRT registries may be required depending on assigned modality.
Preferred
- MRI Safety Officer (MRSO) Certification.
