Description

Department: Cardiac Cath Lab

Contract Length: 13 Weeks
 

Schedule:
• 4x10-Hour Shifts
• 40 Hours Per Week
• Full-Time
• On-Call Coverage Required (Weekdays, Weekends, and Holidays as Assigned)

 


Requirements:
• Minimum 2 Recent Years of Cath Lab Experience
• Travel Experience Preferred
• Step-Down/PCU Experience Required
• Experience in a Level I Trauma Facility Preferred
• Current BLS Certification (AHA)
• ARRT(RT), RCES, or RCIS Certification Required (or eligible within 18 months of hire)


Education:
• Graduate of an accredited post-secondary health science program (Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, Ultrasound, Paramedic/EMT, or related field)
• JRCERT-accredited Military Educational Program accepted


Responsibilities:
• Assist physicians during minimally invasive and image-guided procedures
• Scrub and assist during cardiac catheterizations, angiography, electrophysiology studies, device implantations, thrombectomy, embolization, and structural heart procedures
• Maintain sterile fields and adhere to safety protocols
• Prepare and position patients for procedures
• Operate specialized imaging equipment and ensure high-quality imaging
• Transfer images and documentation into electronic health systems
• Perform equipment quality control, cleaning, and maintenance
• Support quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
• Assist with onboarding, training, and mentoring new staff members

Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging principles
• Experience maintaining sterile technique in procedural environments
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to multitask and perform under pressure
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
