Registered Nurse (RN) – Rehab Unit
Location: New York, NY 10025
Shift: Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Schedule: 3x12s, Every Other Weekend (EOW)
Unit: Rehab

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Deliver evidence-based nursing care utilizing critical thinking and clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, discharge planning, and health promotion.
• Monitor and document patient progress accurately in the EMR.
• Participate in bedside shift reports, hourly rounding, and patient safety initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and quality improvement programs.
• Assist with patient throughput and coordinate care transitions.
• Serve as Charge Nurse when assigned.
• Promote a positive patient experience through compassionate, relationship-centered care.

Requirements

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
• Minimum 2 years of Rehabilitation Nursing experience.
• Mechanical Ventilation experience required.
• Med-Surg experience required.
• EPIC EMR experience strongly preferred.
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred for travel candidates.

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or active enrollment in a BSN program.
