Registered Nurse (RN) – Rehab Unit
Location: New York, NY 10025
Shift: Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Schedule: 3x12s, Every Other Weekend (EOW)
Unit: Rehab
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care utilizing critical thinking and clinical judgment.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, discharge planning, and health promotion.
- Monitor and document patient progress accurately in the EMR.
- Participate in bedside shift reports, hourly rounding, and patient safety initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and quality improvement programs.
- Assist with patient throughput and coordinate care transitions.
- Serve as Charge Nurse when assigned.
- Promote a positive patient experience through compassionate, relationship-centered care.
Requirements
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
- Minimum 2 years of Rehabilitation Nursing experience.
- Mechanical Ventilation experience required.
- Med-Surg experience required.
- EPIC EMR experience strongly preferred.
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred for travel candidates.
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or active enrollment in a BSN program.
