Job Title: Travel LDRP (Labor & Delivery) Registered Nurse – Nights

Job Description: Are you an adaptable, full-spectrum L&D nurse looking for a rewarding travel assignment in Colorado? Malone Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled LDRP Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract at Longmont United Hospital in Longmont, CO (just outside the beautiful Boulder/Denver area).

This 12-bed LDRP unit averages 300 births a year and follows strict AWHONN staffing guidelines, offering a collaborative environment with top-tier clinical support.

Position Highlights:

• Location: Longmont, CO
• Facility: CommonSpirit Longmont United Hospital
• Specialty: LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) RN
• Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Schedule: 6-week blocks set by leadership; includes 6–9 weekend shifts per schedule.
• Target Start Date: 07/06/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks

Unit Dynamics & Ratios:

• Ratios: 1:1 for active Labor patients; 1:2-3 for Couplets (following AWHONN guidelines).
• Unit Scope: 12 LDRP beds and 1 dedicated C-section suite. Expect clinical variety including triage, antepartum, and circulating/recovering your own C-sections.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent LDRP experience within the last 3 years. Must be completely comfortable with full-spectrum maternal-child care and triage. Prior travel experience is preferred.
• Certifications Required: BLS, NRP, and AWHONN (Intermediate/Advanced) OR C-EFM certification.
• Core Skills: Proficiency with Pitocin and Magnesium drip titrations.
• Geographic Restriction: Permanent residence must be 60+ miles away from the facility (Driver’s License required upfront for verification).

Cross-Training & Floating:

Travelers will receive 1–3 shifts of dedicated orientation with a preceptor. In rare instances of extreme network need, flexibility to float within the local regional zone is required. The unit also occasionally hosts low-acuity overflow mastectomy patients (short overnight stays).
