Title: RN – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

Location: White Plains, NY 10601
Schedule: Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:15 AM) |
Contract duration: 13 Weeks with possible extension
Hours/week:  34.5 Hours/Week

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Cardiovascular Intensive Care (CVICU) for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have recent CVICU or CTICU experience and must be proficient in managing fresh open-heart cases on post-operative day zero. Experience with EPIC charting is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients.
• Manage fresh open-heart surgery cases on post-operative day zero.
• Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC.
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Minimum two years of recent nursing experience.
• Recent CVICU or CTICU experience required.
• Experience managing fresh open-heart cases on POD 0 required.
• EPIC charting experience required.
• Current AHA- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
