Must-Have Requirements
✅ Active WI RN License
✅ BLS (AHA or ARC)
✅ Minimum 2 years recent MedSurg experience
✅ Recent EPIC experience (required)
✅ Lives more than 50 miles from Wausau, WI
✅ Comfortable floating to all inpatient units
Preferred Qualifications
⭐ Trauma Level II experience
⭐ Previous travel experience
⭐ Experience in a fast-paced acute care setting
⭐ Strong teamwork and adaptability
Unit Overview
MAP Unit (Medical Acute Patient Unit)
Common Adult Diagnoses:
- Respiratory illnesses
- Stroke
- Seizure disorders
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Chronic back pain
- GI disorders
- Diabetic management
- Renal failure
- UTI and urinary disorders
- Sepsis
- Wound care
- Clotting disorders
- Infectious diseases
- Alcohol withdrawal
Ratios
- Days: 1:4–5
- Nights: 1:6–7
Schedule
- 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- 48 Guaranteed Hours Weekly
- OT after 48 hours worked
- Every Other Weekend
- Every Other Holiday
