🏥 ER RN –  Martinsville (URGENT BACKFILL)

📍 Facility

• Memorial Hospital of Martinsville –  (VA)
• 220-bed acute care hospital
• 34-bed Emergency Department
• All ages: adult, geriatric, pediatric

⏰ Schedule / Contract

• 13-week contract (2026 orientation dates provided)
• 36 hrs/week guaranteed
• Rotating 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday rotation required
• Call: as needed (rare)

🚨 HARD REQUIREMENTS (DO NOT SCREEN WITHOUT)

🧠 Experience

• 1–2 years ED experience minimum
• Must have Emergency Department background (no other specialties accepted)

📜 Certifications (ALL REQUIRED)

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• NIHSS
• PALS or ENPC
• CPI / Handle with Care

🏥 Licensure

• Active VA RN license required
• Compact license accepted if valid for VA

🧍 Patient Population / Skills Needed

• Chest pain / cardiac (CHF, arrhythmias)
• COPD / respiratory distress
• Psych / behavioral health (7 designated beds)
• Sepsis / general medical ED cases
• All-age emergency care

⚙️ Unit Details

• 31 ED beds + 2 triage rooms
• 7 beds used for behavioral health/acute holds
• Ratio: 1:4 typical
• MedHost EMR (ED)
• Meditech for admits/holds (EMAR only)

👕 Dress Code

• Any color scrubs
• No casual wear
