Description
Position: BCBA
Location: Santa Barbara, CA (near the airport)
Setting: Small residential group home (4 bedrooms)
Patient Population: 18+
Duration: 13-weeks
Compensation
Local Pay Rate: $81/hr
Travel Package: $3,616/week
*Must reside over 50 miles away to qualify for travel package*

Requirements
- BCBA Certification
- Minimum 1 year of BCBA experience (ABA/IDD setting preferred)
- Experience in residential, home, or facility-based care strongly preferred
- Comfortable providing care to the ASD/IDD adult population (18+) with complex behavioral & medical needs
- Experience providing supervision to support staff (DSPs/BTs)
About the Facility/Position
This residential setting provides care for adults (18+) with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who may also present with complex behavioral and medical needs. The program supports individuals transitioning from higher-acuity environments, offering long-term, structured care focused on stability, skill development, and community integration. Residents often require enhanced behavioral support, including individualized treatment plans, with DSPs/BTs onsite providing direct care and 1:1 support when needed.
The facility utilizes a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework, giving BCBAs the opportunity to lead meaningful behavior programs while working alongside a dedicated support team. In this role, you’ll focus on clinical oversight, staff supervision, and program development, rather than carrying a full direct-care caseload alone. The environment can be fast-paced and behaviorally intensive, requiring strong clinical judgment and adaptability. However, it offers a highly rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact while collaborating with a team-oriented staff built to support both you and the residents.
