Description
RN – Correctional Setting (Night Shift) | Contract
📍 Location: Albuquerque, NM
🏥 Facility: University of New Mexico Hospital
🆔 Start Date: July 20, 2026
📅 Contract Length: 12 nights
👥 Openings: 4 positions
⏱ Shift: Nights (48 hours per week guaranteed)
Assignment Details
- Specialty: RN – Correctional Nursing
- Setting: Correctional facility (University of New Mexico contract site)
- Weekly Hours: 48 (GWW)
- Experience Requirement: Minimum 1 year (see screening rules below)
- Certifications:
- ACLS
- BLS
- MOAB (provided by UNM if not held)
Screening Requirements (Strict)
Candidates must meet ONE of the following pathways:
- Preferred: Correctional nursing experience
- OR: Minimum 1 year Emergency Department (ED) experience (in lieu of corrections experience)
- OR: Med-Surg only experience → MUST have at least 2 years in a large, high-acuity facility (350+ beds)
Do NOT submit if:
- Less than 2 years total nursing experience (must go to manager review)
- Correctional-only experience without additional qualifying criteria (screen carefully before submission)
Key Notes
- ED or Med-Surg background acceptable only if correctional experience is not present
- Strong screening required prior to submission due to facility expectations
