Description

Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) - Nights

Location: Lamar, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

Provide direct patient care to women in labor, through delivery, postpartum, and newborn care.
Perform assessments, monitor labor progress, prepare for C-sections and inductions, and document nursing care accurately.
Administer care during labor, post-delivery, and postpartum, including infant care and patient education.
Prepare delivery room, provide emotional support, and coordinate patient transfers.
Administer IV medications and adhere to infection control principles and OB department policies.
Work involves long periods of standing, walking, heavy lifting, and potential exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious diseases, and unpleasant sights or smells.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
Minimum 7 years of Labor and Delivery experience
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
