Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – BMT Oncology / Bone Marrow Transplant
Location: Denver, CO
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 07/20/2026
Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week

🏥 About the Unit

  • Specialty: BMT Oncology / Med-Surg Telemetry
  • Patient Volume: 80–100 patients daily
  • Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:6 (lower for higher acuity cases)
  • Team Structure:
    • 2 Charge RNs + 1 Resource RN per shift
    • 16–19 RNs with patient assignments
    • Additional support from MAs
  • Technology & Equipment:
    • Baxter IV Pumps
    • ICU Medical Chemo Adapters
  • EMR Systems: Meditech & OncoEMR

 

🩺 Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized care for BMT and Hematology/Oncology patients
  • Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments
  • Perform central line care and blood draws
  • Monitor patients for treatment reactions and complications
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology teams
  • Deliver patient education and emotional support throughout treatment
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation

 

✅ Requirements

  • Minimum 2 year of current BMT Oncology acute care experience
  • BLS & ACLS (AHA) – Required
  • ONS Certification – Required
  • Strong experience with chemotherapy administration and central lines

  • Experience in BMT / Hematology-Oncology units
