Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a 13-week travel assignment at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in Kansas. This position offers a consistent day schedule and the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team focused on helping patients achieve maximum independence and functional outcomes.
The ideal candidate is passionate about patient-centered care, skilled in developing individualized treatment plans, and experienced working across a variety of patient populations.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Assess physical, cognitive, and functional limitations
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment goals and home programs
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Ensure compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations
Requirements
Required
- Current Occupational Therapist license
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to work 40 hours per week
- Strong communication and patient care skills
Preferred
- Previous hospital experience
- Previous travel experience
- Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations
- Strong interdisciplinary collaboration skills
