Unit Description
- Surgical/Trauma Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Fast-paced, 15-bed unit
- Level 1 facility
- Adult critical care patients (surgical and trauma)
Shift Details
- Night shift: 4 shifts of 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
- 48 hours per week
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- Block scheduling cannot be accommodated or guaranteed
- Time off: 40 hours approved; unable to approve return to office (RTO) for Memorial Day weekend
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
