Assignment Duration: 08/03/2026 – 10/03/2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 5x8
Location: 10 Union Square East, New York, NY 10003
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Ambulatory Surgical Unit at Mount Sinai Beth Israel – Union Square. The RN will provide safe, high-quality patient care through assessment, care planning, patient education, interdisciplinary collaboration, and evidence-based nursing practices in an outpatient surgical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive pre-op and post-op patient care in an ambulatory surgery environment
• Perform patient assessments and apply critical thinking in care management
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans and transition of care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic EMR
• Support patient safety, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice initiatives
• Participate in patient throughput and efficient clinical operations
• Perform charge nurse duties as assigned and support unit workflow
Requirements:
• Active NYS RN License
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• 2+ years of Operating Room and/or Med-Surg experience preferred
• 1 year of travel nursing experience preferred (not required for Per Diem)
• Epic experience highly preferred
• BSN preferred (Associate degree considered with relevant experience)
