Job Title: Travel L&D / Postpartum Registered Nurse – Nights (High-Yield MT Contract)
Job Description: Ready for your next travel adventure in big sky country? Malone Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled, cross-trained Labor & Delivery and Postpartum RN for a lucrative 13-week contract at Community Medical Center in Missoula, Montana.
As the premier Joint Commission-accredited teaching facility for Western Montana, this hospital features a top-tier Level III NICU, a dedicated Children’s hospital wing, and an Accredited Chest Pain Center. Step into a highly supported, modern maternal-child environment nestled right in a gorgeous, active mountain community!
Position Highlights:
- Location: Missoula, MT
- Facility: Community Medical Center (Teaching Hospital)
- Specialty: Labor & Delivery (L&D) with Postpartum coverage
- Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours: 36 hours per week guaranteed
- Duration: 13 weeks
Unit Dynamics & Care Ratios:
- Ratios: Dynamic staffing ranging from 1:1 up to 3:1 depending entirely on clinical acuity, triage flow, and postpartum couplet volume.
- Scope of Practice: Full-spectrum maternal care, managing patients seamlessly from active labor and delivery through recovery and immediate postpartum care.
Position Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of recent, dedicated experience in both Labor & Delivery AND Postpartum specialties (Mandatory).
- Licensure: Active Montana or Compact RN license in hand.
- Certifications: Active AHA BLS and NRP. (AWHONN advanced/intermediate monitoring is highly preferred).
- Floating Flexibility: Must be willing to float within a 25-mile radius of the main Missoula facility if local network census needs shift.
