Qualifications
Description
We’re seeking an Interventional Radiology (IR) / Special Procedures Technologist for a 13-week contract supporting a busy angiography/IR team. This is an on-site role providing high-quality patient care and performing a broad range of interventional and radiologic procedures.
Schedule
- Day shift
- 40 hours/week
- Typical shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
What You’ll Do (Essential Duties)
- Follow all hospital and department safety standards, policies, and protocols
- Practice radiation safety principles, including ALARA, Image Gently, and Image Wisely
- Ensure accurate patient identification and maintain patient safety throughout procedures
- Perform a variety of radiologic and interventional procedures while maintaining excellent patient care
- Provide age-specific care (neonate through geriatric)
- Complete applicable equipment quality control (QC)
- Accurately document required logs and database entries
- Maintain HIPAA privacy and confidentiality standards
- Maintain required licensure and continuing education
- Work independently and support department readiness and compliance standards
- Assist with training/teaching students and new staff (as applicable)
